New pelagic ship Astrid to Denmark
Here on Aflafrettir.com we have been writing news about new pelagic ship that
are in building
and the newest is for company in Denmark. Astrid Fiskeri AS and this company is a family own company with Leif Johansson that is
85 years old and he is still active in the company.
The company have now a pelagic ship name Astrid and one older ship name Rockall.
But the company Astrid Fiskeri AS is not only going to build new Astrid, because
now in Karstensens shipyard they are building a new boat name Astrid-Marie GG-64
Astrid-Marie is for the swedish company that is own by Astrid Fiskeri AS
Astrid Marie is 63,85 metres long, 12,8 meters wide and has 4100 BHP engine, of Wartsila om board.
But the new ship that will have the name Astrid S-264
will be 91,8 metres longs, and almost 18 meters wide and will have Wartsila 31 engine om board, around 7000 BHP.
Old Astrid is 70 metres long and 15 meters wide, and was build 2014.
The new Astrid will come in may 2022.
The old Astrid has been sold to Norway and will be delivered in april 2021, and to a shipping company Heröyfjord
