Pelagic ships in Norway, 1,2 million tons in the year 2025

I just finished calculating the catch from the Icelandic and Faroese pelagic vessels.

Their total catch was 1.1 million tons and there were 43 ships in total.

I will discuss those ships in more detail in another article

On the other hand, in Norway, the total catch landed in Norway was mostly from Norwegian pelagic vessels

a total of 1.2 million tons, of which about 115 thousand tons were landed by ships from Denmark, Sweden and the UK

so the catch by Norwegian vessels was therefore 1.084 million tons

and behind that number are a lot of boats, because there are a total of 523 boats that landed pelagic catch

and most of the boats were between 8 meters and 21 meters long fishing for herring

in Norway, of this 1.2 million tons catch

there were 418 thousand tons of herring

221 thousand tons of mackerel

and 457 thousand tons of blue whiting

The highest-catch Norwegian vessel was Christina E with 20935 tonnes of catch and of that catch 13600 tonnes of blue whiting

there were six vessels that landed over 20 thousand tonnes in Norway and of these vessels

only two were Norwegian vessels, the other was Österbris

on the other hand it was the Danish vessel Gitte Henning that landed the highest catch in Norway over 24 thousand tonnes
